Believing an ancient Japanese scroll to contain a post resurrection record of the savior's visit to ancient Japan the prophet Joseph Smith began translating the scroll from Japanese to King James English. A Japanese linguist quickly intervened ascertaining the scroll to contain Geisha hair styling instructions.  Feeling inspired to follow the instructions Joseph Smith placed first in a Geisha hair styling competition.
